Douglas Fir .40 Ret. ACQ Pressure Treated Higher preservative content makes this a suitable product for deck joists, fence posts, retaining walls, and other applications that have direct ground contact. You must use either hot dip galvanized or stainless steel fasteners with this product, as the chemicals will eventually corrode standard carbon steel fasteners.

Lower preservative content makes this product ideal for applications above ground, weather protected structural framing in commercial and residential projects.
